Nan Pedrick, Teacher of the Year

Georgia Parent Survey

The time to administer the Georgia Parent Survey for the 2013-2014 school year has arrived.  Parents, you can complete the survey using your personal computers, smartphones or iPads.  For parents that do not have Internet access, we have a computer set up in the media center that you may use.  The survey has 20 questions and it should take no more than 5-10 minutes to complete it.  Survey responses are anonymous.

The link to the Georiga Parent Survey is posted below.  After you click on the link, a drop-down menu will appear.  From the drop-down menu, select Liberty County School Sytem and then Joseph Martin Elementary.  Thank you for taking time to complete the survey.  We appreciate all of your support and dedication to JME!

You Have Been Chosen...

We have started a bulletin board where students are able to earn tickets for being ready, responsible, and respectful.  When "The Claw" moves, it draws tickets and those students receive a variety of rewards.  This group of students was able to choose a friend to sit with at lunch.  Remember... you never know when The Claw will move next!

Special Visitors

The office received a surprise visit from Mrs. Klein's first grade gifted class.  They used a school map to practice following directions.  By listening to Mrs. Klein's directions, they located several areas around the school.  Nice job first grade!

Safety First

We conducted our first fire drill on August 14th.  Mrs. Poppell has put in much time to ensure all students, staff, and visitors are safe while at JME.  It is very well organized and ensures the safety of everyone on campus.  Administrators from other campuses attended to see how smoothly the drills are at JME.  We are required to have one drill within the first ten days of school, and the students were well prepared.  Safety first!
